The Tri-Valley Non-Profit Alliance’s newest program, Livermore Connects, is a coalition between Axis Community HealthCityServe of the Tri-Valley, Open Heart Kitchen, and Tri-Valley Haven funded by the Alameda County Public Health Department. Through this combined effort, under-resourced Livermore residents will be connected with a network of essential services.

To celebrate this partnership and kick off the work, Livermore Connects hosted a community event called Salud Y Sol on Saturday, August 12th, 2023 to celebrate the end of summer and make a debut in the community. Over 700 people came to the event, which was hosted at May Nissen Park in Livermore. Some highlights included free backpacks for youths from Tri-Valley Haven, vaccinations and health screenings from La Familia, and fans to improve air quality for individuals with breathing problems from the Tri-Valley Air Quality Alliance. Open Heart Kitchen distributed resources and served tacos and sides to event attendees.
Open Heart Kitchen is thrilled to be a part of this collaborative network, and we are looking forward to the work that we can accomplish together to improve access to resources for our community.
