|Food & Employee Safety |
As a food assistance and social service organization, we regularly maintain the highest levels of food safety and employee safety certifications. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) there is no evidence to support the spread of COVID-19 through food. Nevertheless, we are reinforcing adherence to our rigorous and established hygiene processes and increasing sanitation measures throughout. Volunteer shifts have been cancelled for the next two weeks. As we closely follow the developing situation, we will continue to stay at the forefront of best practices and guidelines set forth from the State of California and the Alameda County Department of Public Health to protect the health and safety of our workforce and clients.
|Senior Meals and Hot Meals Continue Without Interruption|
We are working with all Tri-Valley senior centers and partnering with nonprofit agencies like City Serve of the Tri-Valley and Tri-Valley Haven to ensure our community’s most vulnerable residents are fed. Providing our clients with fresh and nutritious meals is a responsibility we take very seriously, and we will continue to prepare each meal with the utmost care.
For senior meal reservations, please call (925) 500-8241 before 1 pm on the day prior to picking up the to-go meal.
Schools throughout the Tri-Valley have continued their lunch programs for students. For a full list of where and when students can pick up lunches, visit the Alameda County Office of Education’s page for food assistance here.

Lunches are available to pick-up from the Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Avenue). If you would like to pick up a meal during the “Seniors Only” pick-up time, please make a reservation by calling (925)-500-8241 by 1:00 p.m. the business day prior to your meal.
Pick-Up Times for Seniors Only (60+): Monday through Friday, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Pick-Up Times for Anyone Else in Need: Monday through Friday, 1:00-3:00pm (no reservation required)
